(KSI), has gone a long way since its establishment in 1978 as a sales and marketing enterprise with a mission to better serve computer products sold in the United States market.  Originating in Taipei, Taiwan, KSI’s main focus was to distribute best-valued, quality interface cards.  By 1984, the company expanded to become not only a major distributor of computer components but also a manufacturer of specialized high speed computer interface cards.  In 1997, in an effort to bolster trade and enhance company resources, KSI’s top producer joined an illustrious line up of privately owned companies to spearhead the company’s I/O division.  As a result, KSI’s top producer, IBM Japan, and CompUSA added to a record $52 million sale for the fiscal year 2001.  Such success and publicity has strengthened KSI’s commitment to profound computer components supported with great customer service.  To this day, KSI continues to design, develop and manufacture customized board level products as well as supply industry standard components to Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) for personal computers.  KSI strives to continue providing customers with tried and true products for not only our society but for the future generations to come. Our Products Koutech Systems, Inc. was the first to market high speed serial controllers in 1991 using the hi-speed 16550 UART.  Our documented success in this technology paved the way for other manufacturers and has had tremendous impact on today's information technology.  KSI’s continued success in production and distribution is translated into a strong presence in the United States' distribution market.  Today, our efforts come into fruition with our products not only being sold by catalog giants such as TigerDirect and Global, IT chain stores such as Milwaukee and national distributors such as ASI but as well as in bundled solutions with OEM partners like Tyan Computer and CompUSA not to mention over 1,000 local and national distributors, wholesalers and retailers.  KSI’s list of loyal consumers consists of IT professionals from Fortune 500 organizations, schools and end-users.  Our products range from the now widely known I/O FLEX™ PCI input/output (I/O) card products that include hubs, converters, CardBus and expansion cards for PCI, IEEE-1394 FireWire and USB 1.x and 2.0, SCSI controllers based on Symbios Logic® and Initio® chipsets, and a full line of USB Flash Memory Readers for Memory Stick®, Secure Digital, Compact Flash and Micromedia.
