Select "Search for the Best Driver for Your Device (Recommended)." Click "Next". Select "CD ROM Drive." Insert the Windows 98SE CD into the CD ROM drive and click "Next".

How do I install the Ulead VideoStudio SE 3.0 or 4.0 to work with my DV camcorder?

A:

Insert the Ulead VideoStudio CD into the CD ROM drive of your system. The installation wizard will run automatically.Select "Install Ulead VideoStudio" and your language preference. Click "OK". After installation begins, click "Next" or "Yes" at every window that comes up until it asks whether you want to install Net Show 3.0. Click "Next" and "Finish" afterwards. Click "Yes" and "OK" afterwards.Click "Next" to install Quick Time. Click "Next" or "Yes" until you see "Two Show Options" window. Deselect "Two Show Options" and click "Finish". Select the options that you prefer and click "Next". Select "Yes, I want to restart my computer now" and click "Finish". When Windows finishes loading, click "No" for NetShow Options. Make sure that your camcorder is on and start Ulead VideoStudio. Click "Global Commands" and then "Select Device Control". Under "Device Control", select "MS 1394 Device Control" for "Current Device". Click "OK". Go to "Global Commands" again and click "Change Capture Plug-In". Select "Ulead DirectShow Capture Plug-In" under "Current Capture Plug-In".

Q:	I cannot install the Ulead VideoStudio using the serial number provided on the software packaging that comes with my FireWire adapter.
A:	Try serial number 78302-94000-00448181(for Version 6) or 783A2-97000-99903515(for Version 7).

Q:	What do I need to check if I want to transfer video back to DV camcorder?
A:	Make sure that the video format is either .avi or .mov. Check DV camcorder specifications and use the video format, frame size, and data rate that are most suitable for the camcorder.

Q:	How do I know if my FireWire device can be bus-powered?
A:	The 1394 specification allows 8-40 VDC carried by the 6 pin to 6 pin cable(20-30 VDC recommended), and the cable allows up to 1.5A per link.

Q:	How do you install KW-1582V in Windows XP?
A:	KW-1582V is supported by Windows XP OHCI built-in native driver. You do not need to load any third party driver in order to get it to work. Please make sure that your Windows XP copy is not a beta or pre-release version (only retail or OEM version will work).

Q:	What are the 6 pins on the card of 582V2/ 582V2-RB? Can I connect them to the Firewire on my case?
